Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting (Activities of Daily Living).
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them from beds to wheelchairs or using walkers.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient conditions, and medications administered accurately in electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Georgia.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home, or home health setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
