Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Turn, reposition, and move immobile patients to prevent bedsores and ensure patient comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients during meal times.
- Communicate any changes in patient behavior, mood, or health status to the nursing staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections.
- Transport patients to treatment areas, therapy sessions, or for diagnostic tests as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not strictly required for this entry-level position.
- Candidate must be willing to obtain a state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license within a specified timeframe.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and stand for extended periods; ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
- Strong compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a diverse healthcare team.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screening.
