Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
  • Turn, reposition, and move immobile patients to prevent bedsores and ensure patient comfort.
  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and assist patients during meal times.
  • Communicate any changes in patient behavior, mood, or health status to the nursing staff immediately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infections.
  • Transport patients to treatment areas, therapy sessions, or for diagnostic tests as directed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not strictly required for this entry-level position.
  • Candidate must be willing to obtain a state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license within a specified timeframe.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and stand for extended periods; ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
