Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse promptly.
- Document daily care activities accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental well-being.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered North Carolina CNA license required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred but not mandatory for top candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- CPR certification (BLS) preferred.
