Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Provide direct, hands-on patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance.
- Vital Signs: Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient needs and changes in condition to the Registered Nurse (RN) and healthcare team.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Hygiene & Environment: Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and staff.
- Emergency Support: Respond promptly to patient call lights and assist during emergency situations as directed.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active state licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Wisconsin.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient-centered care.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Attitude: Professional demeanor with a strong commitment to quality care and teamwork.
