Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises
- Administer medications under RN supervision per care plans
- Prepare and serve meals while accommodating special dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain safe living environments
- Transport patients to medical appointments and social activities
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- Active Louisiana CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year professional CNA experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate demeanor with commitment to patient dignity
- Ability to pass thorough background check and drug screening
