Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to diverse patient populations during overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments with precise documentation in EHR systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless patient handoffs
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention
- Mentor junior staff and uphold highest clinical standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and process optimization
- Maintain strict compliance with JCAHO and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state)
- BSN preferred; ADN with 3+ years experience considered
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience (ER, ICU, Med-Surg)
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- Strong proficiency in EPIC EHR systems
- Demonstrated critical thinking and crisis management skills
- Ability to adapt to dynamic overnight care environments
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
