Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status, including vital signs, pain levels, and mental status.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide mobility assistance and turn/reposition bedridden patients to prevent bedsores.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Document all care activities, observations, and changes in patient condition accurately.
- Respond promptly to call lights and emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Texas CNA License required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients safely.
