Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility assistance
- Monitor vital signs and document patient observations accurately in electronic health records
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning using proper body mechanics
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations
- Collaborate with RNs and other healthcare staff to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and ensure infection control protocols
- Support end-of-life care with dignity and compassion
Qualifications
- Active California CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year acute care hospital experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Pass background check and pre-employment health screening
- Commitment to continuing education in healthcare best practices
