Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations) accurately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient requests to ensure safety and comfort.
- Prepare and serve meals according to patient dietary requirements and preferences.
- Document patient care activities and changes in condition in electronic health records (EHR) as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team during night shifts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients safely.
