Responsibilities
- Provide direct, hands-on patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients safely with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's physical or emotional condition to the charge nurse or medical staff immediately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Document daily care activities and observations accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
Qualifications
- Current and valid State of Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is highly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team during night shifts.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
