Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments according to the care plan and physician orders.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient conditions, and interventions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment to prevent infection and accidents.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals regarding patient status.
Qualifications
- Current and valid CNA License in the state of Missouri.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or acute care setting preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
