Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist with patient transfers using proper body mechanics and mobility aids.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to implement and update individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment in accordance with infection control standards.
- Document all care activities and observations in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
- Current and valid California CNA License (CNA-1).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care or a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
