Your Role
As a CNA on our night shift, you will be the heartbeat of our facility, ensuring our residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for around the clock.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility activities.
- Monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, and report any abnormalities to the charge nurse immediately.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure residents receive proper nutrition and hydration throughout the night.
- Implement strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean, sanitized, and safe environment for all patients.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs to ensure safety and comfort during the night.
- Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Current California CNA Certification and active state licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care nursing preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a night shift team.
- Physical stamina to perform lifting and transferring tasks safely.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
