Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and feeding assistance, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure their safety and comfort throughout the night.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, patients, and families to provide updates on patient conditions.
- Document all patient care activities and any changes in patient status accurately in electronic medical records.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Arizona State CNA license required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care facility is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during the night shift.
- Physical stamina to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 lbs as necessary.
