Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the RN or LPN immediately.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, ensuring bed linens and equipment are changed and sanitized regularly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure holistic care and address patient concerns.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding for patients with special dietary needs.
- Document patient care activities, including shifts, procedures, and observations, in accordance with facility policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- No prior experience necessary; we provide on-the-job training for the right candidates.
- CNA Certification (or willingness to obtain within a set timeframe) is preferred but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
