Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide support with mobility, transfers, and walking using proper body mechanics.
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff and charge nurse immediately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary patient environment.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- No prior CNA experience required (Training provided upon hiring).
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- CNA Certification (or eligibility to obtain) is preferred.
- Valid Texas Driver's License (for facility transport duties).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer skills for documentation purposes.
- Strong interpersonal communication and empathy skills.
