Responsibilities
- Provide basic nursing care and assistance with daily living activities to patients under the supervision of nursing staff.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure quality care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment and report any facility issues.
- Prepare and serve meals according to specific dietary requirements and feeding assistance needs.
- Support nurses with medical procedures and accurate patient documentation as directed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program (preferred) or willingness to complete training.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer literacy preferred.
