Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and safety protocols.
- Prepare and serve meals according to individual patient dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and visitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the District of Columbia.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
