Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff.
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals while monitoring dietary restrictions and fluid intake.
- Implement individualized care plans under the supervision of the Registered Nurse to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and therapeutic environment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient progress and needs.
- Administer medications as prescribed and track patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license valid in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in geriatric or acute care nursing is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to meet patient care needs.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for patients.
- Reliable transportation (if not fully remote).
