Responsibilities
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, reporting any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Prepare and serve meals according to individual dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, ensuring all infection control protocols are followed.
- Document patient care plans, daily progress notes, and incidents accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the State of Georgia.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED required; prior nursing assistant experience is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and availability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
