Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor vital signs and document resident health status accurately
- Assist with mobility transfers and use of mobility equipment
- Administer medications under supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Collaborate with healthcare team to create and implement care plans
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations
Qualifications
- Active Virginia CNA certification in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of long-term care experience preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate attitude and commitment to elderly care
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
