Responsibilities
- Patient Assistance: Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining the highest standards of dignity and hygiene.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report any abnormalities to the nursing staff immediately.
- Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized patient environment in accordance with strict infection control and safety protocols.
- Communication: Serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the healthcare team by effectively communicating patient needs and status updates.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to reduce anxiety and improve their overall well-being.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid State of California CNA License (required).
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical, long-term care, or acute care setting preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods; ability to lift and transfer patients up to 50 lbs.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for patient care.
