Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a warm and home-like atmosphere.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are respected.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all residents.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding changes in resident condition or needs.
Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license required (valid in the state of California).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
