Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
- Perform chairside duties including instrument transfer, suction management, and patient positioning
- Take and develop high-quality dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization procedures in compliance with OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient patient flow
- Take accurate dental impressions and pour study models for prosthetic work
- Administer patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant Radiology certification (RAD)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong knowledge of dental materials and instruments
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- CPR certification and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment while maintaining precision
