Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienist during examinations, surgeries, and cleanings with precision and efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols, sterilization standards, and OSHA regulations.
- Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, and materials before patient appointments.
- Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and impressions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
- Manage patient records, update charts, and coordinate scheduling to ensure seamless clinic operations.
- Foster a welcoming and comfortable environment for every patient who walks through our doors.
Qualifications
- Current Florida Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) license required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Proficiency with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental) is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a patient-first attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks accurately.
- Reliable transportation and professional appearance.
