Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and walking using wheelchairs, walkers, and assistive devices.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and feeding schedules.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output and changes in patient condition in electronic health records.
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff, physicians, and family members to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care, or home health setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- CPR certification is required.
