Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and equipment.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines.
- Document patient care activities, changes in patient condition, and incidents in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Communicate effectively with the nursing staff and physicians regarding patient needs and updates.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Colorado CNA License required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move patients safely.
- Ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a patient-centered approach to care.
