Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in a respectful and dignified manner.
- Vital Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Mobility Support: Safely transfer and ambulate patients using proper body mechanics and assistive devices.
- Hygiene & Nutrition: Prepare and serve meals according to dietary restrictions and ensure patients remain well-hydrated.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts as required by state regulations and facility policy.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient status and concerns to the Registered Nurse (RN) and Charge Nurse.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a long-term care, hospital, or home health setting preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods; physical ability to assist with patient transfers.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to treat patients with empathy and respect.
