Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs: Accurately monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Communication: Communicate patient status changes and concerns to the nursing staff and charge nurse promptly.
- Hospitality: Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
- Assistance: Provide assistance with mobility, transferring patients to and from beds or wheelchairs safely.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid State of Texas CNA License required.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or long-term care setting is preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate demeanor.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
