Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients to prevent pressure sores.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement individualized care plans.
Qualifications
- Current and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Illinois.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Compassionate, patient, and detail-oriented demeanor.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
