Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist with Mobility: Support patients with transferring, walking, and positioning to ensure safety and prevent falls.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts in compliance with hospital policies.
- Communication: Effectively communicate patient changes and needs to the nursing staff and physicians.
- Medication Support: Assist with medication administration under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Qualifications
- CNA Certification: Current and valid Tennessee State CNA license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification required.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine passion for patient care.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
