Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to the Charge Nurse.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to strict hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and nutritional needs are met for all assigned patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized patient environment in compliance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License and CPR/BLS certification.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
