Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
- Assist with feeding patients and maintaining proper nutrition and hydration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Kansas State CNA License required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks as required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred.
