Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
- Assist with feeding and nutritional needs of patients as directed by the nurse.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations.
Qualifications
- Current State of Texas CNA Certification (Licensure required).
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient-centered care.
