Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
  • Assist patients with mobility issues, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient conditions and needs.
  • Assist with feeding and nutritional needs of patients as directed by the nurse.
  • Respond promptly to patient call lights and emergency situations.

Qualifications

  • Current State of Texas CNA Certification (Licensure required).
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients for extended periods.
