Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Assist patients with mobility and transfer activities to ensure safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the RN or LPN.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for all patients.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Texas.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
- Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
