Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and compound sterile/non-sterile preparations
- Verify prescription orders for completeness and accuracy before processing
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stocking, and rotation of pharmaceuticals
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1) for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
Qualifications
- Active Georgia Pharmacy Technician license (PhT certification required)
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficient in prescription processing systems and compounding techniques
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and pharmacy regulations
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- CPR certification preferred
