Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications following established protocols
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceuticals
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain precise electronic health records and documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize medication therapy
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Ohio Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Valid Ohio driver's license (for potential delivery duties)
- Background check and drug screen clearance required
