Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive telephone and virtual triage assessments to evaluate patient symptoms and medical history.
- Utilize clinical protocols to prioritize patient care and determine the appropriate level of urgency for referrals.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations accurately in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Provide clear and empathetic health education to patients and families regarding treatment plans and self-care.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with a preference for triage, urgent care, or emergency room experience.
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure with excellent communication abilities.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR software systems.
