Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations, surgeries, and hygiene appointments.
- Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral images.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for each patient.
- Guide patients through intake procedures and explain post-care instructions.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Monitor patient comfort and ensure a positive dental experience.
Qualifications
- Current DANB certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
- Valid Arizona Dental Assistant license.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dexis).
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient safety.
