Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Count and verify all sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in the operating room environment.
- Document patient data and surgical procedures accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certification eligible.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
