Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify dosages
- Manage inventory control and stock rotation protocols
- Process insurance claims and patient billing inquiries
- Provide medication counseling to patients and healthcare staff
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical services
- Ensure sterile compounding procedures are followed
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB/ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of FDA regulations and pharmacy laws
- Excellent attention to detail and math skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software systems
