Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontics
- Perform dental radiography (X-rays) and sterilize equipment per OSHA standards
- Manage patient intake, digital charting, and insurance verification
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures
- Provide chairside support and patient education on oral hygiene
- Oversee inventory management and supply ordering
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or registered in Texas
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- X-ray certification and CPR certification required
- Proficiency with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
- Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures
- Exceptional attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
