Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility
- Maintain sterile compounding environments for IV medications
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage
- Utilize pharmacy software for prescription processing and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required
