Responsibilities
- Accurately compound and dispense prescription medications following strict protocols
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide medication counseling and answer patient inquiries
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical reviews and drug interactions
- Maintain sterile compounding environments (USP 797 compliance)
- Utilizes pharmacy software for prescription processing and documentation
Qualifications
- Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license required
- Prior compounding pharmacy experience preferred
- PTCB certification or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical precision
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
