Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory and coordinate medication orders
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Assist in training new pharmacy technicians
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year retail pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA and pharmacy laws
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS/1, PDX)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required
