Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records using pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict compliance with federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure pharmacy environment
- Collaborate with healthcare team to optimize medication therapy outcomes
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license required
- CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years retail/hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medication safety protocols
