Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient medication therapy
Qualifications
- Active Kansas Pharmacy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficient in pharmacy management software and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure environments
- Basic math skills for prescription compounding calculations
