Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescriptions accurately, ensuring all labeling and documentation meet regulatory standards.
- Process incoming insurance claims and verify patient insurance coverage efficiently.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding of medications and provide exceptional customer service to patients.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols at all times.
- Review patient profiles for potential drug interactions and alert the pharmacist to any discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, dosage forms, and drug interactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy management systems.
