Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and prepare prescription medications for patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer software systems (e.g., Rx30, Epic).
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide basic pharmaceutical counseling.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, state pharmacy laws, and company policies.
- Process insurance claims and handle copay transactions efficiently.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or ExCPT required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
