Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and prepare prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist in the inventory management process, including receiving, stocking, and organizing medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications, insurance, and store policies.
- Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Perform routine cleaning and organization of the pharmacy workspace to maintain safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required (ExCPT, PTCB, or NHA).
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new pharmacy software systems.
